Disappointed

Tried emailing the company first as requested above, but kept getting “delivery fail notifications” so I figured I would post my email/complaint here: "I am growing disappointed in your PlannerPlus for Mac desktop app. I regret spending so much money on this because the iCalendar is more user-friendly. I should be able to easily copy and paste events, but there is no way to do this without setting up a repeating schedule which isn’t always appropriate for my schedule. In addition it does not always save changes I’ve made or repeatedly creates an event from, say, 7a-7p when I have repeatedly put the end time as 5pm. I cannot trust that the schedule I look at is going to be accurate with triple checking after each even is created. And even minutes after the event is created it will randomly disappear. What the heck?! For $20 there should be more fluid functioning. I have tried quitting and restarting the app several times, but it is always the same problems. I dare not delete the app and reinstall it because I tried that too and lost everything. Please correct these bugs and inconveniences ASAP or out of respect for future customers I will have to post this review to warn them."

I think it’s a good one

Thank you. Few requests … Could you add a full screen option? And a full notes view (in addition to the calendar) views)? Maybe a quick add option from any app, with keyboard shortcut for notes and tasks. And the abiltiy to drag and drop tasks on all views, not just month view as well as to be able to drag them into projects or on to other tasks to form a project. Would love if the projects were multi-level as well, more than one level of sub-tasks that is. Thank you for consideration. Good work. Keep it up.

Does not synch well between devises

I purchased Planner Plus because I liked the layout, which was very similar to FC products. I purchsed a download for both my iphone and Mac Airbook, hoping to be able to keep calendars synched with a product whose layout I liked. I had a TERRIBLE time getting the Planner Plus to synch between both devises. Some functions were suppose to synch via the iCloud, other functions were suppose to synch with DropBox. I did not feel like they worked properly. I contacted customer support about a different issue and they responsed within 48 hours. However, when I sent a second email, asking about the synching issue, I never did get a response. I would use this product, if I felt like the synch process worked properly, but currently, I do not trust that it does - that means missed appointments and errors. If I was only using it on one devise, it might be OK

Good product, terrible support

I really do like this product, but the customer support if you have a problem is impossible. If you buy it you are on your own. I have sent several emails over the last several months and received one reply. Like I said I actually like the product alot, but wouldn’t have bought it if I’d have known they treat their customers like lepers.

Doesn’t save changes and reverts back to default

I’ve had this app on my ipad for at least a year. I liked the layout of it and can easily see my different calendars on one. However, I just started keeping my husband’s schedule on this app and it will not save changes I make to his events. It’s a rotating schedule every 3rd day. I do not need an alarm to annoy me every 3rd day. I just need to see what days he will be working. I change the event to no alerts for all instances. I click done and go right back to it to check and its back to having a 1 day alert. I like the app otherwise. But this is a big deal for me as I keep 5 different working calendars on it. My phone will be buzzing all the time. And it wastes my time having to double check to see if my changes have been saved.

Little Frustrated

So I love this thing other than when I input an event, then update it, it doesnt save the update. It goes back to the orional way I input the information, not allowing me to add new information to the event. Even if I misspell something, I will go in and revise the information, go to a different month and it wont save it. Its really frustrating.

Good idea but needs more work

Far too many clicks to do relatively simple tasks. Synchronization does not work as smoothly as one would like. plan to stick with Icalendar until such time as this aplication is improves.

Not Worth 20 dollars!

I bought this app on my iPhone and again on the iPad and it works great. I then regretfully paid another 20 $ to use it on my mac and it’s just terrible. It’s really frustrating to use. Everytime I enter a new event and set the title and time, it changes to a default event that’s an hour long, at a random hour, called “New Event”. Fix it!

When is the next Update?

Please guys you need to update this app it has several bugs!

Terrible Mistake to Buy This

Non-existent customer service. Interface looks good. It all stops there. Doesn’t really work, just looks good. Requested help and got an auto-reply “Feature(s) not currently available.” Don’t waste your money. Go for something free that actually works, or pony up the extra cash for a robust app that does something besides look good. Really really sorry I wasted time and money on this pathetic excuse for a planner.

Looks beautiful but needs a lot of work! Not very user friendly!

First and foremost…I was so excited to get this app. but when I initially read-up on it, I was under the impression I could sync everything to iCloud. That is not the case. Events sync to iCloud but tasks and projects require Dropbox which also requires another fee. (Keep in mind, for what you pay in fees, it’s nothing compared to purchasing a new paper planner every year). Secondly, when adding an event, it usually takes two tries. It will say new event, than you type in what you want it to say. When you click on it, the event goes back to reading “new event”. Nothing a simple update can’t fix and I hope they will do so soon. If you want to edit an event and you click on it, nothing is highlighted so one is unsure as to whether or not they are highlighting the right item to edit. I inadvertantly deleted an important event because I clicked on the wrong item and deleted it. Again, something a new update could easily fix. When looking at the month view, there are no times so you have to click on the event to see when it’s scheduled or go to week or day view. Overall, I don’t find the app very user friendly. It seems to require a lot of steps to add events, tasks, etc. WHAT I LOVE…The design and layout are beautiful! Love the individual tabs for each month on the side. I really appreciate the ability to see everything on one page; events, tasks, projects, etc. I love the fact that there are quotes on the iPad Mini in the upper right corner although it’s peculiar they don’t show on the iMac. Overall, this app has tons of great potential but it’s still a work in progress. I think the price is too high for what it is but I’m not giving up yet! For now, I will go back to using my Apple Calendar and Reminders. I despise the going back and forth but it is a much more user friendly and frankly, I don’t have the time or energy to keep adding events over and over. When I couldn’t sync to iCloud, tech support got back to me rather quickly. For now, I would recommend sticking with your old system until PlannerPlus gets more updates. If you decide to take a chance and purchase it, plan to be patient and who knows, what bothers me may not phase anybody else. All-in-all…I like Planner Plus but it needs some serious work before I will go back to using it. I will continue checking back as I am convinced this will be my go-to planner in due course! If you love Franklin Covey you will love this! Just give them some more time to simplify it.

Sort of useful, but not really

The interface on the Mac looks great and is easy to use. However, this app is also available in mobile, but your calendar inputs cannot by synced across different platforms. In summary, this app is not very useful at all unless you carry your laptop with you AT ALL TIMES. I don’t know about you, but my MacBook Pro wont fit in my pocket.

Horrible Customer Service

I downloaded the app on my Mac in an effort to sync all my devices. When I emailed and asked if there was a way to get it on my other devices I was told yes just download it and there will be no charge. That was a LIE. The app sync the events it wants and doesnt sync others. I have emailed the company on two seperate occasions on the topic and have yet to recieve a response. This was over a month ago. I regret purchasing the app and would not recommend this app to my worst enemy.

Disappointed to say the least!

I purchased this app in hopes of getting all my assignments in order for law school but it has taken me hours to just input the information in my weekly calendar!! As soon as i enter an event and move on to the next one, the previous event gets erased!!!!! its driving me crazy because it has to take about 3 to 4 tries for it to register correctly. It extremely time consuming and for the prize I paid I am very upset about it!! Had to take a trip to Office Depot to buy a planner instead! its ridiculous!

WASTE OF MONEY

I JUST BOUGHT THIS APP. EVERY TIME I PUT IN AN EVENT IT DEFAULTED BACK TO “NEW EVENT” THERE ARE NO INSTRUCTIONS. DO NO LISTEN TO ANY OTHER REVIEW OR PAY THE $19. THIS TOTALLY USLLESS. DON’T WASTE YOUR MONEY. I AM GOING BACK TO PAPER, IT IS MORE RELIABLE THEN ANY OF THESE APPS.

Abandoned and Expensive

This app has been abandoned. Don’t buy it, there are no more updates. It’s a shame, it could have been great.

Complete Waste of Money - Randomly changes my schedule for me

I put events in at certain times in certain calendar colors. I close the app out open it again, and all events are shortened to 1 hour or DELETED ENTIRELY and they’re all the same color (same calendar). Buying this app is just like buying a paper planner and paying someone to go back and erase/change the events you put into it. A calendar app that randomly changes your schedule is ABSOLUTELY WORTHLESS. DO NOT BUY. I will be trying to get my money back.

Wow — this is the absolute worst app — completely unreliable and total waste of time.

I have spent about an hour SIMPLY trying to enter flight information for an upcoming trip to Europe. Because our flights span a couple of days on each end and include 2 different airlines, we wanted to have all of the information in one place. So, I paid ALMOST TWENTY DOLLARS for this app, which on first glance seemed to be very similar to iCalendar, but I was hopeful there would be much more to it than that. In fact, it is much worse than iCalendar because it randomly decides which calendar entries to save in their entirety (including ticket numbers, etc.) and which simply to revert to “New Entry” at the original time and which not to save at all. I am not going to waste any more time with this app — but I want to make sure everyone else knows that it is terrible before they waste $20 and their time.

Great for managing daily tasks but…….

Big difference between iPhone, iPad and desktop versions. Main point for me is the ability to add Priority, Alert, Alert Time and Description on the Desktop version. It can be done on the iPhone and iPad. If I am working on my MacBook and need to add a task it would be nice to edit all fields. Now I enter it on my MacBook then I have to go to my iPhone or iPad to make additional information entries.

I’m happy overall

I have to say overall I’m happy with the app but would like to see other features which may have to do more with iCal than PP. 1) The ability to make more calendars…is that possible? I haven’t figured it out. 2) Tasks to “roll-over” to next day until completed….otherwise I forget. 3) Ability to customize to fit needs. It appears there have been no updates or upgrades since 2014 so possibly all requests are moot and the company no longer is in business or concerned with the app which is too bad as the app is basically good as it stands but could be so much better.
