I think this is a great app. It has proven very useful for me and it work great with calendars. It complements calendars well and provides additional usability.

Doesn’t do anything that iCalendar doesn’t do and YOU CAN’T PRINT IT OUT or email it or share it. A total waste of my $20
I wish I could export or print notes. Good app wish it were great.
Purchased this app because it shows both calendar and tasks list. But it doesnt allow syncing across devices. What is the point of purchasing this?
It looked good at first, but shame on me for not looking deeper. Any task managment system that does not allow me to sort a list by dragging items up and down is dead to me. I don’t have time to change arcane settings one task at a time. This is a Mac. This is the 21st century. Please. If the developer had offered a trial version, they could have avoided this review.
I love FC, I really do but it’s a pain to drag along since it gets thick fast. This is a great replacement for the FC. I love how it syncs with my Google Calendar (You have to sync it with your iCal first and through ICal, it’s synced through Google Calendar). This makes scheduling so convienent since I share a calendar with my husband. The Day view is awesome. It looks exactly like the format of FC..which is great because I can list tasks and write notes all in one. Weaknesses: 1) The “Project” section needs some work. It’s merely a list of tasks grouped together. It would be nice if it was grouped into notebooks and in that notebook are the tasks and notes associated with that project. 2) Need a general note section that isn’t attached to a specific day. Otherwise, it’s well worth the price. I love it!
I’ve been using this app on my iPad & iPhone and I really like them so when I realized they had a desktop version I got very excited and purchased it instantly. The desktop client is NOT worth the money! I do not recommend it. Reasons listed below: - There is no option for deleting a calendar event. Seriously. You cannot delete a calendar event within the application. - I would assume they would take advantage of Apple’s amazing trackboard features by allowing you to swipe through your daily, weekly and monthly view like iCal can but nope. - THERE IS NO iCLOUD support for the desktop version. There is dropbox but I pay for 200gb on iCloud… I want to use it. I have emailed the developers about these issues. If they get back to me, depending on what they say, I might rethink my review.
Ok, I’ve only owned the desktop version for a half hour and I can tell you, this calendar is almost useless unless you just like looking at its pretty colors and letting it pull items off your iCal. The lack of features is pretty much unacceptable. I’m absolutely positive that one or two of the recent 5 star ratings were written by the developers (see Lexushoops). I have the iPad version, and the desktop version simply doesn’t compare. Here’s just s few issues (too many to list) Problems: 1. No iCloud synchronization (I STILL haven’t figures out how to sync to my iPad!) 2. Cannot add tasks from the “Task” tab. After opening a new task, entering data and clicking “Done”, nothing happens….no new item!!! 3. Tasks can only be added from the “Day” calender view 4. Sub tasks can ONLY be added AFTER you create a task, label it project, close it out, and then right click on it to select “create sub task”. (Whattttt??????) 5. Notes are tied to the date you create them. So, creat a note Monday, it doesn’t carry to Tuesday. In other applications, that’s called a “journal note” and would make sense. Here, is does not. 6. Notes cannot be opened by simply double-clicking on them. You have to right click and select “Get Info” as if you were in Finder!!! 7. No synching with Exchange or other calendars (huge issue) 8. No customizing how it syncs with iCalendar, or adding another iCalendar account (no “account” access in settings I’m gonna stop here…it gets worse. Essentially, the more time you spend in the desktop version, the more limiting it becomes. For now, SAVE YOUR MONEY and wait. This product is not ready for prime time, and it is not worth the money!!! This should never have been posted for more than 3 or 4 bucks. Business users shouldn’t even think about this yet. If the developers can get these other features added and working, they may have a great product to sell. It’s interface says they’re on the right path. I hope they keep moving forward. But for now, it’s refund time!
I have purchased the iPad and iPhone Planner Plus apps, as well as this desktop version, so I’ve easily invested quite a bit of money into this app, and the desktop app couldn’t be more disappointing. It keeps malfunctioning and not allowing me to “right-click” and delete an event. If I add a new event, while I’m typing the title, it just saves it (partially unfinished), and I have to re-open it to edit the event. It has also not saved any changes that I have made on occasion, or synced them with my other devices. I also wish that in the month calendar view, the time would be listed next to the event, so that I don’t have to open the day view to see what time an appointment is. But I do love that I can add notes by the week/day, and also create tasks that I have to check off. I have contacted support several times and they responded once saying that “to delete an event, please right click”, after telling them that it was not working and that there are bugs in the app that need to be updated, they did not respond and I have not heard back since. If these things are fixed, I would be happy with my investment in the app.
I had been using Planner Plus on my MacBook Pro and on my iPad and syncing through Dropbox. Up until the Yosemite upgrade, I would have rated it as five stars. However, after the Yosemite upgrade, Planner Plus Version 2.1 on my MacBook no longer works or syncs with my iPad. I think a major fix and upgrade is needed??? Will that happen soon?
It’s been years since I put down my paper planner and began using electronic apps. With Planner Plus the ability to see my prioritized tasks along with the day’s time commitments and pertinent notes has brought great organization back to my life. That I can manage from either my computer or phone is definitely a plus. Hat’s off to the developers and excited to see what’s in store for future development.
I was very excited to purchase this app. I purchased it for both my iPhone and my iMac. When I add something to the calendar, it’s there, but when I add something else to the calendar, they both turn into new events and erase all data. I have to enter it three times before it will take. Other than that, it seems like it would be great. But I spent a lot of money for it to be useless to me…wrote them, and they said they would try to fix it in the next few updates. I need it now. I paid for it and I expect to get what I paid for. But guess not. Fail in my book.
I like it and have the app on all my devices. I falls short because it doesn’t have a list view (notes, tasks, reminders and daily schedule which I get from another app) and also needs ability to drag time when scheduling mutliple hours, days or weeks. Also needs ability to connect to Office 360.
HELP! I just plunked down money for this app, and I like it, with the exception that my info on my iphone calendar DID NOT sync with this. ANyone have any suggestions. I tried powering down both devices and powering back up. Would seem to defeat the purpose if I have to manually go in and input info that has already been added onto my iphone calendar. Help!!!
Help! I just bought this for all my devices (phone, iPad & Mac) and it WILL NOT sync with iCal.. I can’t even manually add anything because I get an error message saying “you can’t add or change events without a selected calendar.” but the darn thing won’t let me populate any calendars! Support is atrocious!
Great idea and could be a great asset if it worked all the time. I have entered a number of events and the inputed description just disappears later when you get out and come back in. This leaves a scheduled event with no description of where you are suppose to be or what it is. It does not happen all the time but enough to really mess with your schedule. If you can not trust a schedule to remind you what good is it.
I was so excited to purchase this app. I was ready to be super organized with the beginning of the new semester, so ready that I purchased both the Mac app and the iPhone app so I could sync. So far I have been unable to put anything into the Mac app because it says I must select a calendar first, but when I go into the settings there are none to choose. The iPhone app works alright, not particularly impressed with it. It would be more helpful though if I could sync it to my Mac. I’ve synced both apps to my dropbox, but still haven’t gotten either of them to sync. I wrote all of this first in an email to the support team. The first time they took a week to email me back and gave me no relevant information. They just told me to sync to dropbox which I told them I had already done. I replied to them 3 days ago and have not gotten anything back. Extremely disappointed in this app and their customer support. Waste of $29.
I just purchased this app hoping it would be an easy way to access all of my to-do’s as well as my calendar and because I could use it on all of my devices. I am having the same issue as the comment below where I am unable to put anything into the app on my Mac because it says I must first select a calendar. I have not been able to get a hold of anyone from “support” despite e-mailing them days ago. I synced my calendar to Dropbox which did nothing. Very disappointed that I wasted so much money on this app as I could have purchased a very nice paper agenda with it instead.
It’s impossible to imagine PURCHASING what is esssentially already provided in OS X. What app is worth twenty dollars or ONE dollar without being able to size the text? Colors, would also be helpful as well as stationary choices. What a waste of money.
While the calendar is pretty and the layout is great - this app is missing key functionality that makes it useless. Specifically… 1. It doesn’t interface with the system reminders - so unless you have their app, you won’t get your reminders on your iPhone. 2. Once you have reminders in, they’re VERY hard to move around. You can drag events around on your calendar, but not reminders. While they can be moved, it’s way to difficult to do for something most people find they do all the time. If these were both fixed it would be a killer app - but right now… Oh, and $20 is a lot to charge for an app w/o a free demo.
